Chin Up Donuts is elevating the donut and coffee experience in Arizona and looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the team! We are looking for adaptable, positive people that are excited by the idea of establishing company culture, developing recipe concepts, and having fun working with the team.

Chin Up Donuts is elevating the donut experience in Arizona and looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the team! Our lead Pastry Chef will be responsible for the daily prep and execution of our specialty donuts. We are looking for a passionate person that is excited by the potential of developing new recipes, creating monthly flavor specials, collaborating with other local makers and food producers, and elevating the everyday donut. The ideal candidate will have food business experience, is a team player, gets creative in the kitchen, and is self-motivated to continually exceed expectations to make awesome treats.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Dough prep: daily prep work of our brioche-style dough and occasional cake/fritter dough, including measuring, mixing, and storage of dough supply

Rolling, cutting, and proofing: rolling dough to appropriate height, cutting – including specialty letters and shapes, and proofing of raised donuts

Frying dough: frying donut dough, flipping donuts to ensure proper cooking time and coloring on top and bottom

Glazing and donut decorating: prepping glaze to correct consistency and flavor profile, glazing donuts, and topping/decorating appropriately for each flavor

Flavor creation and testing: partner with lead pastry chef in brainstorming of new flavors, including savory, local & global inspired creations, and seasonal concepts for both donuts and toasts
- Inventory Managment: track ingredient costs, supplies, and place orders from our suppliers
REQUIREMENTS

Prior food industry experience, either bakery or restaurant

Ability to work harmoniously in a kitchen environment, be a team player, and have a positive attitude

Ability to help build a kitchen and company culture based on positivity, growth, quality, creativity, and fun

Flexibility is key, must be able to multi-task and take on responsibilities that occasionally fall outside of this job description
THE DEETS

Full-time, early morning shifts starting as early as 2am

$18 - $21/hr + depending on experience, plus shared tips – woo hoo!

Must be able to stand the majority of the work day and lift up to 50 pounds.

Our Baristas will be responsible for the daily prep and execution of our specialty coffee and knowledge and sales of our bricohe donuts. We are looking for an outgoing, passionate person that is excited by our scratch-made donuts and crafting all sauces and syrups from scratch to create new and inventive coffee beverages to pair alongside them. We are looking for someone that appreciates quality coffee and strives to provide consistent, delicious coffee beverages while speaking towards the quality and uniqueness of our donuts. The ideal candidate will have food business experience, is a team player, and is self-motivated to continually exceed expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome customers and help take their order. Be knowledgeable on our coffee offerings, our roasts, and other menu items

Coffee wizardry – create hot and cold coffee beverages at a fast pace while maintaining high quality

Stellar customer service – help customers decide on their beverage option, share information on our brioche donuts and craft coffee, and provide genuine, positive interactions

Keep a clean workspace – clean the espresso machine, grinder, prep and serving surfaces, and other equipment
-
Flavor creation and testing – assist in brainstorming of new flavor profiles, including specialty/seasonal drinks (and donuts, too, if you’re up for it!)

Flexibility – willing to help with other roles as needed, included order taking, check-out, serving, and help with donuts
REQUIREMENTS

Prior coffee industry experience

Part-time, weekend morning shifts starting as early as 6am
