ASSISTANT MANAGER

Chin Up Donuts is elevating the donut and coffee experience in Arizona and looking for outgoing individuals to join the team! The Assistant Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day front of house operations. This includes preperation and execution of our craft coffee drinks, knowledge of our specialty donuts, and operational tasks such as responding to catering inquiries, managing our social media pages and event calendar, and helping manage the FOH schedule. We are looking for a passionate person that is excited by the potential of working with a small business, wearing many hats, and getting their hands in a lot of different opportunities. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hospitality/food business experience, is a team player, and is self-motivated to continually exceed expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stellar customer service – help customers decide on their beverage option, share information on our specialty coffee drinks, and provide genuine, positive interactions

  • Welcome customers and help take their order. Be knowledgeable on our coffee offerings, our roasts, and other menu items

  • Manage our catering and events inquiries, responding in a timely manner, and ensuring availability 

  • Social media management – manage social calendar, create content, assist in shoot days, and engage with customers through our social channels 

  • Coffee wizardry – create hot and cold coffee beverages at a fast pace while maintaining high quality

  • Flavor creation and testing – assist in brainstorming of new flavor profiles, including coffee roasts and specialty/seasonal drinks (and donuts, too, if you’re up for it!)

  • Flexibility – willing to help with other roles as needed, included order taking, check-out, serving, and help with donuts

REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior food industry/hospitality experience

  • Ability to lead and inspire co-workers with an inspirational, positive and passionate attitude

  • Ability to help establish and build company culture based on quality, positivity, growth, creativity, and FUN!

  • Flexibility is key, must be able to multi-task and take on responsibilities that occasionally fall outside of this job description

THE DEETS

  • 25-35 hours per week, morning shifts starting as early as 6am

  • $17/hr plus tips, ranging from $3-6 additional an hour on average – woo hoo!

  • Free coffee and donut every shift

  • Must be able to stand the majority of the work day and lift up to 50 pounds
